Fax machine and Fibre broadband

Can anybody help.

We had fibre broadband installed in the new year. Since then we can't use our fax machine.

We have been told that we still have our fax line!

Any idea's why its not working. We have tried two different fax machines.

Have you tried connecting a regular telephone handset into the phone socket used by your fax machine, to confirm there is a dial tone, and that the line is working ?

If there is no dial tone, then in all probability, the engineer did not correctly repatch the phone line when they installed the fibre connection.
