Hi

Thanks for that - can you clarify how this problem happened? Was it random or was it an issue on BT's part. This error has cost me a large number of sales the past few weeks and I still am not back to my ranking for my keywords! Its a shame that I pay so much for epages and I feel I get in return a service that literally wipes my business off! It would be good to understand how such an error occurred and how BT allowed it to.

I am sure that this issue has been covered elsewhere but I wanted to check whether others had found that they had dropped off google ranking for no reason? I used to rank highly for my keywords and all of a sudden I am nowhere to be seen for it - then last week I reappeared for it only to not show for another keyword!

I dont know whats going on, but I read on another post that BT had messed up which urls where pointing to which site and it will take a few weeks to sort out (which is great while sales suffer)

Any one else have the same issues/now the reasons?

Hi MilkBug

I have copied the following from another post about this issue, i hope it helps.

We think we've got to the bottom of this, it appears that something went wrong in the DNS pointing the wrong "Vanity URL" to the wrong shops.

The issue has now been resolved from what we can see, unfortunately it means it may take a few weeks for Google to rectify the correct links and descriptions. I would advise that if you use Google Webmaster Tools that you resubmit your website as this may fix things sooner.

Kind Regards

Fiona

BT Business Forum Moderator
