I've tested your site with Easy Site Wizard on Internet Explorer and it seems to look alright, what do you mean by "floating text"

When I use explorer to view site all text is out of alignment. Not sure but may be down to glitch with my computer and have emptied cache to try and resolve. My concern is that it may be happening to others visiting the site.

Everything seems OK when utilising Firebox as browser however. Has anyone else had these issues?

Hello Alan,

I have tested you site from here on Internet Explorer 6 (on a large widescreen monitor) and it looks good. Nothing strange about the text or anything.

Without actually seeing your screen I can tell you that the issue you are experiencing is a common one.

Different web browsers use different methods to render web pages. The difference you are seeing between Firefox and IE is well documented and presents a challenge for any web designer/web building software to make a website work on a range of different browsers, screen resolutions and monitors.

The best thing to do with your site is to view it using different browsers and if you can, try to view it on various monitor sizes, for example ask friends/collegues to test the site on a laptop with a smaller screen.

Our software is a basic web builder and through templates it does try to achieve a "happy medium" to display correctly on a range of browsers.

If you feel their is a fault with how the site is publishing, please reply or contact our technical helpdesk on 0845 600 70 20, choose option 2.

Thanks

Colin

Hi Alan,

You are correct that experienced web designers will be aware of ways to "tweak" their code to allow their website to look the same on a variety of different browsers.

Some browsers will ignore elements that others will render correctly and vice versa.

It is really the case of trial and error and implementing changes/fixes as the viewable results from the published site are shown online.

Some differences between browsers cannot be avoided.

Within Easy Site Wizard Pro you are given the option to edit the HTML and CSS code but as it is a basic template based software it will be difficult to have the site look exactly the same across browsers.
