hosting web site created using wix.com

i have created a web site using an online provider called "wix.com"

their system is very easy to use and has produced a really good looking site (for an amateur)

they then advise to register a domain name which i have done with bt

i now need to get the pages from wix "visible" to people when they log on to the web site

wix info on line makes this sound easy but it seems to be an issue with bt

following is lifted from wix website, reworded to suit my situation

Dear bt connect

My name is steve scholz and I purchased the following domain:

I have built a site on Wix.com.

As they are not a domain name host please point my domain

to the following IP: 216.139.213.144

Thank you,

PS: I am not asking for a domain name transfer/redirect.

I want to remain with you as my domain name host.

does this mean anything to anyone & where do i go from here?

You need to fill in the online request form at dnsforms.co.uk.

Select DNS Records A-point.

This way your domain name will be pointed to your hosting package.
