Our main domain http://www.air3.uk.com is setup as a redirect to another ISP who host our current site. This works fine.

However, we are testing a new website and our developers have uploaded it to our BT hosting FTP folder.

How do we setup a subdomain (eg http://test.air3.uk.com) which points to our FTP folder so that we can test our developer's new website? I know that in the Advanced Domain Manager I can set an alias for the subdomain, but what would I point it to, so that it points at the public folder of my FTP home directory?

thanks

Hi Clarkee,

You can't set up a subdomain like this, however before the domain is pointed to the server you can test the site by going to http://c31.sitepreviewer.com/air3.uk.com

You can subsititute the domain at the end if you need to view any other webspace in this way.

thanks - that worked great.

Unfortunately we now want the site to go live.

We removed the redirect that been on the domain and now www.air3.uk.com just fails. There is no dns entry at all - what's going on?

thanks
