STATIC IP AND COMPUTER SET UP

Hi all

It is a kind of follow up question of my post re FTP and Static address but a bit different hence the new post.

I have ordered the static IP and the order wil take up to 24 hours to compete.

Once I reboot the router I should be able to see the new IP address/subnet mask/default gateway and the DNS.

As for my laptops (we have 3 of them) do I need to go into the wreless adpater porperty for the TCP/IPv4 and enter the IP address and DNS manually or can I keep the "obtain IP address automatically" option.

If manual willl all three laptop need to have a different IP address (last digit of the string) with the same subnet anf default gateway?

Apologies if this is a basic question...

you need need to change anything on the laptops.

the only thing you will require is "port forwarding"

there are guides on this in the broadband and internet section

Hi antoine, go to Help & support and search for 'port forwarding' using the search field within the green box. I would point you in the direction of the relevant article but I'm not sure what router you use.
