Hi,

I've checked my website on various computers and notice that it displays differently on different screens. On my screen it's normal, but on a different sized screen the site only takes up 1/2 or 2/3rds of the screen, and the rest is white.

Is this normal?

My site is via bt web hosting, and is called pencase.co.uk

My background picture on each page is one that I've put on, then placed photos on top - might this be the reason?

Would I be better just using a white background?

I hope someone can offer some help.

Thanks.

Yes, that is normal.

Some web designers suggest confining yourself to a page size of 800 x 600 pixels (px) and aligning your page centrally.

It is possible to define a page size so that it expands with the window. You would define the width not in terms of pixels but as a percentage of the window width. By default, EasySiteWizard defines by pixels. I don't know whether this can be overridden.

 Nigel.
