domain name repointing

I have a domain name at BT, which points to another location where my website is stored.

I now have a new website in another location, which can only be pointed to via a URL (not IP)

Now i have looked on my BT domain centre account and there is a setting called

Website Forwarding
Forward my site (www.xxxxxxxxxx.com) to...

Is this where i would put in the new URL location? or does it have to be done via request to BT?

If i can do it online then what happens to the existing pointer?

This is where you would enter the URL you are wanting to Forward to yes,

This can be done by yourself,
