Changing home page content

I set up my online store over a year ago and now I am trying to update it. The main problem I am having is trying to get a whole lot of pictures onto my front page...to try and create a collage of photos and text...but I simply cannot upload the images onto the home page. I did phone BT but no one there seems to know anything about design.
Has anyone had the same problem...if so how did you get round it? All I want to do is upload images onto my home page.

well you can do it yourself if you know some web desiging and HTML but if you dont then you can hire services of some freelancer to get it done for you.
