The index page (Home page) on my website is not showing properly. It looks fine on preview but when published it looks a mess. I have tried deleting it and remaking it but it still looks a mess and did not update to new page layout. The weird thing is if you click on a link to another page and then return to index page through another link it views correctly with most up to date layout.

Any ideas ?

My be you are missing some CSS or link so that you update page not showing. So please make sure that you didn't do any mistake.

_________

abirhasan

Hi,

I'm afraid that if you're doing anything with websites where you have to look at the code for any reason, then there is no such thing as 'laymans terms'.

You could try here for more info on CSS (Cascading Style Sheets):

http://www.cssbasics.com/

Dave

p.s. clear your internet cache as well, as it may be an old version of the page. 🙂

Hi Flora,

I assume your making this in the BT Easy Site Wizard Pro?

I've you haven't coded anything and just designed this in there, then it sounds like, there is either:

1) A fault with the software (which we can resolve).

2) Or the possibility that you have two homepages, the fact that you can click back to the home page and this works fine, suggests this maybe the case.

If you have built this in the ESW Pro, feel free to send me a PM with your domain and I'll take a look, if not call the helpdesk on 0845 600 7020, we don't do any web design, but we need to ensure the software is working correctly.

If you are not using the BT ESW Pro or ESW, we would be unable to offer any assistance.

Thanks,

Steve
