Hi there,

1) You can login to http://myoffice.bt.com - manage services - domains - use external domain name with BT's services - this will then send an automated email with some instructions to your primary email address, make these changes at easilys end, log back in go to - myoffice.bt.com - webhosting - activate webhosting.

2) You can transfer your domain name to BT if it has been with the old host for longer than 60 days, you would need to contact them, get them to unlock the domain name, provide the auth code, log back into myoffice.bt.com - manage services - domains - transfer a domain name to BT - enter domain name and auth code. You would then get an automated email sent to your admin email address (check with your current host what this is) respond to the email, and the transfer will automatically complete after a few days.

Thanks,

Steve

We currently have a website northqueensferrylighttower.com which has created using Wordpress and hosted on fasthosts.

I have created a new version just using html, css etc, and it is running happily on our BT webspace. The domain name is hosted by easily.co.uk. I would like to either: (a) point the existing domain name to the new site (using Smart hosting?) or (b) let the current domain lapse when the current registration expires in early December, and set it up again on BT.

Is this possible with our domain name - northqueensferrylighttower.com - which does not have a www prefix ?

Help!

Boydwill

As I understand it, if the domain is registered to you it can be transferred to

BT.

You need to go to the manage services section of your account on the BT website and then go to manage domains. You may need the old host to co-operate by resetting the IPS tag.

Good luck
