Well, I've managed to now connect the two network printers by changing their hard coded ip addresses.

It would still be nice to know how to re-configure the router. Not a pressing issue now.

Thanks

I used to have a NetGear hub which used the network 192.168.0.x

I have a BT Business hub which is using network 192.168.1.x but still have two printers which have hard coded ip addresses of 192.168.0.60 and 192.168.0.107 which I now can't connect to. These printers are hired and I haven't got the authority to change the network addresses. Though I am about to seek the suppliers advice.

if I log on to the BT business hub then follow

Settings -> Lan -> Private Network

the hub has these settings where the DHCP Server Enabled CheckBox is ticked.

DHCP Server Enabled

DHCP Network Range

    192.168.1.0 / 255.255.255.0 (default)

    172.16.0.0 / 255.255.0.0

    10.0.0.0 / 255.255.0.0

    Configure manually

How can I change my Business hub so that it can see the two networked printers.

I've tried to configure it manually which it seems to accept but then the network drops and I cannot then connect to the internet, the hub let alone the printers. I then have to rest the buiness hub to get the internet back. Therefor back to where I started from.

How do I proceed?

The textboxes for manual configuration are -

Router Address:
Subnet Mask:
First DHCP Address:
Last DHCP Address:

If I follow -

Settings -> Lan -> NAT & Address Allocation

I see that it's configured to allocate addresses from the Private from pool: 192.168.1.0

I've not changed this at all.

Alex
