I have a static IP address with BT which I believe takes the following steps.

1. Public user connects to sub domain:

www.test.mywebsite.com / Static IP 216.xxx.xxx.xxx

2. My firewall then forwards this to my local server.

192.168.xxx.xxx

3. The uses browser display the static IP 216.xxx.xxx.xxx

My local server is using apache websever which I can connect locally through the local ip address or hostname.

What I want is to show to the user the sub domain or local server hostname. Not the static IP address from BT. Is this possible?

Thanks
