Webspace FTP Access over BT Broadband Fails

We have some webspace associated with a BT Business Broadband account. For the last week it has not been possible to access it via FTP, it looks as though it is only a problem using a BT line and a Homehub.

It has been tested with 2 BT lines, one using a Homehub 2 and the other a Homehub 4.

Test using FTP from a DOS prompt:

ftp btconnecthosting.com
Connected to btconnecthosting.com.
Connection closed by remote host.

The same test works OK when using Virgin BB.

I have also tried with an Android phone. Using Wifi through the HH2 fails, but going through the EE internet connection works.

I'm surprised that this has not already been mentioned. We have checked with colleagues in other parts of the country and they confirm the same problem.
