MYSQL Issue

Hi,

I have just setup a new Database and User.. I can connect to it and admin it via PHPAdmin, but when I run a script from one of my PHP pages to look for the Database information, I get the following error.

Could not connect: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (13)

Some software I am trying to install has a script to validate MYSQL is installed on the hosting before it will allow me to install it, but it shows that no MYSQL is available.

I can set it up on another non BT hosting I have no problem..

It's almost like the Webhosting isnt seeing the MYSQL server link..

Any help will be much appreciated.
