    <description>I have seen a comPany that currently performs landline tests on numbers and will return a status as to whether it is active or not. They say they perform this test down a physical line in their offices and it does not cause the landline to ring at all.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Does anyone have any idea how they are performing this test or what hardware they may have to make this possible?</description>
