Sorry to hear this. There are cases like this that it would show up that your area is serviceable but when installation day comes, it's not.

Maybe they are testing the lines still to provide you with the best service. Anyways, I hope everything will work well for you bud.

Phoned BT business 10 days to 2 weeks ago.

Have already moved my business, contract went through very quickly and advised BT i need the phone line and Broadband connecting at the new premises. They initially said it would take 3 weeks, then later 4 weeks. They say there is no BT line there but the previous occupants are based next door and DID have a BT line. There are BT boxes in the premises.

I explained i run a company and have told BT on several occasions that my company cannot survive without a phone line OR broadband. They have told me various stories. First the delays are due to the Olympics..... (the company is down in Yeovil....) and now that there are delays because of the flooding a few months ago.

I asked for the matter to be esculated. They did but it came back to me that there were no earlier slots. They slot of 31st August was the only option. When i told them there would be no one on site that day to let the BT man in, i asked whether they could do the day before or after - i i was told the ONLY other slot they have is 2 weeks later on the 13th Sept

THAT MEANS BT TAKE 7 WEEKS TO TRANSFER OR CONNECT A BUSINESS PHONE LINE THEN ANOTHER 5 DAYS TO CONNECT THE BROADBAND. ON MY LAST DEALING WITH THIS WONDERFUL COMPANY MY BUSINESS MOVED ALL OF 10 ft TO THE PREMISES NEXT DOOR. IN THAT INSTANCE WE WERE WITHOUT BROADBAND FOR 6 WEEKS!!!!!!

Can someone please advise how/ if/ what can be done to speak to the many, many levels of computer says people to TRY and get some common sense with REAL priority issues?

BT if your are listening - ref no = <Removed by Mod>

Thx

Jon

Hi Jon,

I'm sorry you've had this problem with your order.

I made a call to check what the situation was with this, and I can sympathise. Unfortunately there are still huge backlogs in certain areas of the country, and while the Olympics is centred in London it does have a huge knock on effect in scheduling and resources across the country.

I was also advised that you've been in contact with an escalation team in BT today, and that it has been raised. They will be able to look into this for you, so I'll close this thread and let them get on with it.

Dave
