topic Blackberry email alias in Archive

I am using an O2 Blackberry on which I have set up my btconnect.com email account. An alias is associated with the account, and the blackberry receives emails addressed to the alias account without any problems.

However, when I send an email from the blackberry, the "from" address always shows as the btconnect.com account. In other words, my clients send emails to me at richard@mydomain.com, but my reply always shows from richard##@btconnect.com . This is very confusing to them and annoying to me. Some of them think that I use two accounts. Is it possible to get the "from" address to show as richard@mydomain.com ?

Thanks,

Richard

Hello rpepler,

sorry, I can't help you to fix this but just wanted to let you know that you are not the only person with this problem. I have been experiencing this issue for about a year now and have been unable to get anyone to take ownership for it never mind fix it.

My experience of trying to get BT to deal with it leaves me to believe that they just don't know how to do it - i.e. their technical skills just aren't sufficient to resolve the issue.

Regards,

Chris

Or it might be possible that they are still thinking of the best way to resolve such case. Everything has it's first time.
