I have the same problem, but I am not sure if I only made a mistake on setting my e-mails or there might really be a problem with BT. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi,

First off mobile providers almost always lie about the port 25 issue.

Now that we have that out of the way the best way to test is this:

1. Log into http://myoffice.bt.com with the details and check webmail.

2. Set up the account on your BT connection in something like Windows Mail or Outlook. (Make sure to set it to leave a copy of emails on the server)

If both 1 and 2 work then congratulations your email account is working. If it doesn't work on Orange then there are one of three possibilities:

1. Your settings are wrong.

2. The device you are using is faulty.

3. Orange are blocking port 25, or using some other form of authentication they haven't advised you of.

It's pretty much as simple as that.

Hope that helps.

Cheers.

Dave A
