Cant save message on 365 server????????????????

After pop3 access with windows live mail no messages are retained.

( message retain box is ticked)

Any suggestions?

Hi,

That seems odd. As far as I'm aware an Office 365 based account should keep messages on the server in the same way the old ones did.

How do you get to the option to keep messages on the server?

Windows live mail, set up for pop3 . On the account settings you have a tick box option to save a message on server.

It always did until the 365 'upgrade'. Now whenever you use pop3 win live it downloads the nessage and does not retain a copy.

Solved. The win live had a dummy account accessing the same mail address. #One was retreiving a copy , followed by the second which told it not to retain one. Doh!

Well that is interesting. Was it written somewhere in a tutorial that there's a default dummy account?
