Hi,

i have the usual problem of my sbs 2003 server checking pop mailboxes and sending via smtp.

we have been given a transfer date of next month bu I'm trying to find he best solution to get around this farce.

1, can smtp connect be configured to use TLS enforce outgoing mail?

2, I'm going to use igetmail to receive POP3 ssl email and then deliver to local exchange mailboxes, which Weill deliver on a more flexible schedule.

3, try to use stunnel, and configure accordingly , this looks an easy option !!!

4, configure email from POP to directley deliver mail to my server and and then send via SMTP, could anyone help me with this one pleas ?

has anybody tried any of the above ?, I have spoken at length t BT support which were no help at all.

when I have asked which server platforms would work with office 365 they did not know !,, this is worrying, surely I'm. It the only one in this situation, I like having the POP mailbox to fall back on in case of local mail server failure.

thanks in advance

bob
