Returned email - probably blacklisting, delisting failed!

Can anyone help me, we can intermittently send email to some of regular customers. One customer in particular keeps returning our mail with the message below.

I have found black/block lists for 3 spam filters and have had 2 of them removed, the 3rd is the spamhaus PBL Advisory and delisting has failed - do I need to contact the ISP or is there anything I can do to try and rectify this as soon as possible? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If your server is being blacklisted then you need to contact the Blacklist operator to find out why - your ISP will likely not be able to help.

We've had the same problem - one of our clients uses spamhaus.org to check incoming emails and the IP address of the server for our domain is also hosting someone else's website - it's this other website that's been blocked on CPL

I've spoken to BT Business this morning and it's not something they immediately understood. After some deliberation they said that the IP (209.235.144.9) is a general address used for web hosting by multiple hosting companies... hmmm.

Not sure where to go now?

Finally sorted this today (??). IP 209.235.144.9 seems to be BT's web hosting server and is shared by 27000+ domain names. Spamhaus just associated this with websites that have a problem so, if any of the sites has an entry, all the sites get blacklisted. Pretty useless...
