We have our bt connect email address and our domain name which is set up for a mail relay and has always worked okay although having switched to a new computer I can't send any messages from our own domain name email.

when choosing smtp.outlook it says the domain isn't registered and when trying to use the old smtp.btconnect.com it just times out and will not send any messages

any suggestions would be great

Hi there,

You won't be able to use smtp.outlook.com as mail relay is still being done on BT's servers. Double check the settings for the SMTP server in Mac Mail. You shouldn't use SSL, the port should be 25 and Athentication should be turned off.

Hope that helps,

Adrian
