From what you have told me this looks like a problem with Super NAT i have a quote from a colleague which describes this

"Some mobile providers do what's called 'super NAT' where all the phones in a given area are given private IP addresses (e.g. 10.3.2.1) and share a single IP on the mobile company's network. This can cause a problem if someone is 'naughty' - a whole lot of customers can get blocked because they all appear to be using the same IP address."

As far as sending on the 3G goes there is nothing much you can do about this, what you can do is speak to BT WIFI and get your openzone details so that you can send via the BT hotspots

their number is 0800 022 3322

I use a PC at home for email, and like many have a smartphone for mobile access to my email hosted as-was by BTconnect on my domain name. Everything worked very well up until the "update" to outlook.com.

I followed the instructions here;

http://btbusiness.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/20166/c/2048,2053,3793,3899/session/L2F2LzEvdGltZS8xMzYyMTQzNDA4L3NpZC90aThKRjNrbA%3D%3D

While at home on my O2 Broadband, it works ok for send and receive, but is hugely slower than before.

When mobile, either using my O2 mobile broadband or O2WiFi, I can receive email ok, though again actually opening emails is incredibly slow. BUT I cannot send emails, I just get the alert "Email not sent". All the settings of the email client are correct, I can only think something in the routing of the traffic is blocking the STARTTLS SMTP on port 587.

Now I have zero interest in Office365, I just want my pop/smtp email working wherever I am, and now I can't even respond to emails on my mobile. I PAY BT to host my email, it either needs fixing or I find an alternative email hosting company that won't mess it up.

So my friends at BT ... can this be fixed?
