I have recently discovered that email enquiries for my holiday let from the property advertising website are not coming to me. some arrive, some dont. I only discovered this this when a potential customer followed her email enquiry with a phone call asking why ihad not responded.

Enquires with the property letting web site have indicated that this is a problem with most of their subscribers with a btconnect account, to the extent that they recomend not using a bt account as the default email.

I have been able to identify the missed emails , as the property website has an email log, with all mails headers etc.

Comparing this with my recieved emails on my computer over the last year show 11email enquiries never delivered to me. This is equal to a potential loss in income of £4000. Will Bt be compensating me for this?

The holiday let is not my main business, I have no means of checking the amount of business enquiries lost to my main business as i dont have the advantage of the propery web sit email log to refer back to.

This is incompetent and unacceptable. I pay extra to have BUSINESS internet and BUSINESS email. And yet what is apparently a problem with spam filters is costing me god knows how much BUSINESS.

That i have been advised not to use a bt business account for my business, as emails cannot be reliably delivered is simply beyond a joke.

I will be escalating the complaint, seeking compensation and looking for another provider.

Has anyone else experianced similair or found resolution.

I have the same problem, customers trying to sign up with us and their emails never reaching us. We've lost thousands in revenue and the confidence of our existing customers.

When messages go missing in a Gmail account it's typically due to one of the Click on All Mail on the left side of your Gmail page to see . Some of the missing emails that were sent through the RNC accounts .
