Can not receive e mails ?

Using windows live mail ..every time i log in the program says i'm off line and i get

Unable to send or receive messages for the account. The host 'pop.outlook.com' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly.

Server: 'pop.outlook.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0D
Protocol: POP3
Port: 995
Secure(SSL): Yes

But i can send messages ....

I have just done a bit of research on this and found that this is more than likely a firewall issue

Your settings are correct so I would suggest turning off your firewall / realtime protection then closing and opening Livemail and attempting to receive - if this works then you will need to have port 995 unblocked on your firewall

Be sure to turn your firewall back on after this and run a full virus scan. Let me know how that works out for you Yokel1970
