Hi

Over the last few weeks I have been experiencing a very inconvenient problem with BT seemingly blocking emails that I am forwarding to my BT address from a business address hosted elsewhere. The message received is as follows:

*****

SMTP error from remote mail server after initial connection:
host mx.bt.lon5.cpcloud.co.uk [65.20.0.49]: 522 IP REPUTATION BAD (please check for IP address listing on reputation services)

*****

I could understand this if my other address was hosted on a server that was blacklisted, but it isn't. I have contacted my hosting company and they repeatedly tell me (and show me evidence) that the IP reputation is good and I can't find it listed on a single blacklist.

What can I do about it? My hosting company says that they are powerless to help as it isn't blacklisted and that BT need to take action to remove the block.

Thanks in advance.

Hi - I seem to be having exactly the same problem that started to occur sometime between Tuesday and Friday this week. Did you get anywhere with trying to get this resolved?
