Hi

I have spoken to the technical team about this. They can manually update the firmware of the router for you, however, the new firmware locks the router to the domain.

The BT Business hub is suplied for the Business broadband connection and the new firmware locks the router to the Business broadband domain details. The residential Hub, for the residential line is the same and the firmware will lock the router to the residential domain.

So basically, if we get the technical team to manually update the router firmware it could stop you being able to use the router on your residential connection.

If you would like us to go ahead with the firmware update, please let me know.

Kind Regards

Is this really true? You have to request somebody at BT update your firmware remotely?

Surely not!?
