Hi

Anyone using the BT V-IP softphone with a Versatility system that wants to share experiences??

We've just installed and have no problems with the V-IP freture phones, but the softphones never seem to connect. The manual suggests a network problem (it's all on the same LAN at the moment). The package sits there saying 'Connecting to Remote Server'. You can make and receive calls, but you never get the soft buttons appear.

TIA.

    Leigh

Hi Leigh,

Are you using BT Office Communicator?

I recommend downloading and installing the latest version (http://www.bt.com/business/yourbbv) and checking that your firewall isn't too strict to allow voice traffic.

Minicheddar

Hi. If your getting the message 'Connecting to Remote Server', try to ping that server IP from the affected work station. If it doesn't give any replies, that is clearly a LAN/routing problem.
