Hi Jamie

For your customer to use our BT BBV for a fax line he would need to configure one of our BT Routers 2wire 2700,2701 or Voyager 220. Any other way is not supported.

Regards

Sean

Hi All,

I've been working with a local small business with a systems overhaul from workgroup machines to an SBS 2011 environment.

They've just informed me they've opted for a BT VOIP line for their fax services (nothing like surprises nearing the end of a project!). Having never dealt with VOIP on this level, I was hoping for a few pointers.

As I mentioned, they have a Small Business Server 2011; this is running off the back of a Cisco 887W ADSL device.

I appreciate more information will be required, however I'm just at the beginning of my investigation and surmised that this would be the best place to start.

Many Thanks

Jamie

I assumed that would be the case and although I personally think this is somewhat un-malleable, I wasn't involved in the inception of the process so I have no problem with that, although I was surprised that BT sold a VOIP line without advising that a BT business router was required. That being said, BT did send out a business router as soon as the point was raised.

Thanks
Jamie
