I use BT Communicator software and that is fine on other networks.

As for the Falcon - I investigated it a couple of years back when work was going o take me abroad for extended periods. The BT VOIP support team confirmed at that time, that it was possible to use the phone in my office in the UK on a BT Broadband connection, and then to pack it in my briefcase and take it with me to wherever I was going. The only possible problem is that some providers my bar access to VOIP services or those that they are not providing.

Try getting a coppy of communicator and running that - great with a headset rather than speakers.

Hi,

Used to be BT Broadband business customer with VOIP via a BT Falcon Phone. I'm now on Virgin 100Mb Broadband but would like to keep VoIP facility. Phone seems fine but after 30 seconds (exactly!) call goes dead (they can still hear me but I can't hear them) - this happens on every call.

Is BT Voip compatible/supported on other broadband networks or do I need to cancel and go somewhere else? or is it likely to be a router problem? (I'm using a Netgear WNDR4500).

Cheers

You have to get BT service back if you want to use their VoIP to your business. That is the only way to make it work.
