Will Number Porting Affect Broadband Service?

We currently have 2 single lines with BT, we are looking to get one of these lines ported to a VOIP provider, but it is from the same master socket and line as the Broadband, will this affect the Broadband Service?

Your broadband still requires a physical line and associated numeber to operate over. And you will need to be paying line rental on that line too.

So, if you port the number to VOIP without having a "replacement" then you could have serious problems.
