wonder if anyone can help. I have the E170 dongle and I also have a fujitsu siemens laptop, Esprimo M9410, which has a SIM card slot. How do i set up the 3g so that it works through the built in facility rather than the dongle. Any explanations appreciated

Hi rich,

The BT Access Manager software that is supplied on the E170 dongle probably won't support the built in 3G modem on your laptop, so while you can use the SIM card with the device, you would need some software to manage the connection or configure it manually. There may already be some software pre-installed on the laptop, in which case the information you will probably need is the APN (btmobile.bt.com) and the username/password (bt/bt).

Unfortunately I don't think the BT helpdesks would be able to provide any support/guidance for this configuration.

Hope this helps!

Tim
