Blackberry Curve Not Receiving SMS all of a sudden

Have a weird problem with my Blackberry 8900 Curve - I changed handsets earlier to another Curve and since I have I cannot seem to receive SMS messages. I can make and receive calls, I have succesfully transferred all email accounts onto the new handset and are working fine, I can even send SMS with no problem, I just can't seem to receive them

Any ideas? Have tried resending service books, re registered the handset via the host routing table and have tried the old battery out trick as well

I had a delay on several Happy New Year texts - mainly from abroad - the last took almost a week to reach me, but I`m up to date now.

Apparently texts are low priority on mobile networks, behind ordinary calls. If its a problem, and the other person also has a Blackberry, try PIN to PIN messaging, its faster and, heres a well kept secret - its included in your data tariff so doesnt cost a penny !
