Description:

An issue has been identified when using BT Access Manager and the latest Intel® PRO/Wireless and WiFi Link Drivers (version 12.4.4.5). When BT Access Manager is started with the Wi-Fi device enabled, a BT Access Manager component causes a Stop Error (AKA Blue Screen of Death) with a IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL message,

Fix:

A patch is available from here to work around the issue. You should only install the patch if you are experiencing the issue described above.

Alternatively you could install an earlier version of the Intel drivers.

Tim

BT Access Manager Development Team

Made my own work around. Downloaded the patch and extracted the files to a temporary location. Renamed the btomonwi.dll to btomonwi.bak in the \program files\BT Access Manager folder. Copied the extracted btomonwi.dll file to \program files\BT Access Manager folder. System no longer BSOD

I get this issue on a Lenovo W500 running Windows XP SP3 with BT Connection Manager v1.98.0.0

The network drivers are all the latest versions for a type 4063 laptop as published at the Lenovo website, and the same dongle works on a T41 running at the same software level.

Unfortunately, the BT support I received claimed that no similar issues had been reported and that they couldn't do anything about it...

Is there a patched btomonwi.dll available for the connection manager version mentioned above?
