1 phone line that uses phone and fax.......HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi - I was wondering if anyone else out there has had this challenge and overcame it?

My husband and I run a manufacturing company, it has been set up now for 7 years. Initially when we set up we had just the one phone line; for both phone and fax. Obviously when the phone rings we answer it as we don't know whether its a call or a fax. This is becoming tedious! Is there anyway in which we can maintain ONE phone number but somehow have a 'magic box' that determines whether its a phone or a fax call, that way if it is a fax we dont have to answer it?????

Anyone with a similar experience or who may have an answer would be gratefully acknowledged.

the box auto answers every call and then transfers the call to a fax extension (if a fax tone is detected) or to voice phone extension (if no fax tone is detected).

the unit also requires an answering machine so that voice calls can be picked up if no one answer the voice extension.

This is simply of the probably several products available . A detailed search would yield better results .
But yes , answer to your question is that such a magic box does indeed exist !!
