I have been watching with interest over the past months the "roll out" of Fon for domestic users, as I said in my intro I run a small community local and would like to offer this service to my customers.

Back in November the question was asked on the domestic forum as to whether or not it would be available to business users and the reply was that BT hoped it would be available within a couple of months.

So my questions are

Is it available?

If not is it going to be made available? and what is the expected time scale?

any info appreciated

Hi there. They're not launching BT FON but they will be launching the ability to add an Openzone hotspot to your BT Business hubs in the next few months (which BT FON users can use), press release URL is here

Surprised to find that when I followed the link, it was no longer there. Then again, maybe not surprised.

Disappointed to find that when I went to France on holiday, despite all the advertising, I couldn't access FON for free, but had to pay for access through a rather bug-ridden and convoluted process which caused me lots of grief and stress...

Anybody else found this? Is it right that BT Business Broadband customers should be denied this access?
