    <description>&lt;P&gt;I have BT Business broadband, and during the past few months I have had drop outs of&amp;nbsp;the internet connection. On the 17th of September I got upgraded to 21cn, before then I didn't take much notice of the drop outs. However when I got the upgrade I didn't get the speed increase that I was expecting. At first I thought this was due to the training period, however this turns out not to be the case. I then found out that due to the drop outs my speed has been capped to 8128.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It turns out that is the wireless that is causing the drop outs, I have turned the wireless off and as a result there is no more drop outs.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;How do I solve this problem, is it a faulty router, or can I fix it by changing some settings or with a firmware update?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;TABLE cellspacing="0"&gt;&lt;TBODY&gt;&lt;TR&gt;&lt;TD&gt;Hardware Version:&lt;/TD&gt;&lt;TD&gt;2701-100589-005&lt;/TD&gt;&lt;/TR&gt;&lt;TR&gt;&lt;TD&gt;Software Version:&lt;/TD&gt;&lt;TD&gt;5.29.107.19&lt;/TD&gt;&lt;/TR&gt;&lt;/TBODY&gt;&lt;/TABLE&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I know that I am being capped due to the drop outs, so how long does it take the speed cap to be removed?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Since I am writing this thread I have a few questions I would like to ask.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;On the router MDC page I can access the stats page, which states that my max rate is 13000 kbps&amp;nbsp;- 13500 kbps, currently I have a noise margin of around 15db. &lt;P&gt;If not there are help and support files if you have a &lt;A title="slow or intermittent wireless connection" href="http://btbusiness.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/10832/c/426,427,1958" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"&gt;slow or intermittent wireless connection&lt;/A&gt; and it recommends trying a &lt;A title="different Wireless Channel." href="http://btbusiness.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/10831/c/426,427,2564" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"&gt;different Wireless Channel.&lt;/A&gt; If this fails you could talk to the &lt;A title="technical support team" href="http://btbusiness.custhelp.com/app/contact#s=ImNhdD00MjYsNDI3LDc2OXxmb3JtX3N0YXRlPTAi" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"&gt;technical support team&lt;/A&gt; to see if they can check for a router error. As you did not supply your BTConnect email address when signing up I can not check to see if you have already contacted support.&lt;/P&gt;
