BT Converse 2100 - Transferring Calls

I'm using a BT converse 2100 at work and need to know how to transfer calls. I've read the user guide and it's less than helpful. The "R" button seems to be what I have to use but all that it says is "Switchboard features" in the user guide.

If anyone could run me through the following steps:

1) Answering a call

2) Dialing the person it needs transferring to

3) Returning to the original call

4) Transferring the call to the relevant person

... I'd really appreciate it. Thank you!

Exactly my thoughts.

Started a new job and noone can tell me how to get back to the original call, I just transferred someone to the wrong dept.

I'm sure after 2 years you know this by now, but you hit R - Ext number - then hang up and it transfers.

But what to do if you get the wrong dept??
