I too am keen to know this, it seems ridiculous that we're paying £25 a month for eshop, the other options are supposed to be available, for example the forum, if you look on the epages website, yet we can't get at it!

Hi,

I am new to BT eShop having recently signed up to BT Web Hosting Trader 1000 (ITP) package. I am finding my way around the epages software, but before that I see several options in BT Website Centre. One is to use a link to the eshop from my website. Therefore I assumed I could design a seperate site for www.mydomain.co.uk using EasySite Wizard Pro, and then provide a link to the eshop at eshop.mydomain.co.uk.

However in the BT Website Centre I do not seem to have access to ESWP or any applications other than eShop.

Does my package not provide access to ESWP, and how can I access the other applications, ie Easy Live Chat, that I may be interested in?

From what I can see EasySite Wizard Pro is available on basic web hosting, so I assume I should have access also on my eshop package.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers.

Well, 3 days have passed without a comment or solution from the forum moderators, to what was a straight forward question in the original post.

I have since has a reply from my "account manager" who originally sold me the eShop package. He says that none of the Website tools I see are included in any eShop package, and I will need to take a seperate web hosting package (Basic at least, for £2.99 per month), to have access to these applications.

I am also informed that I cannot have these applications added to my existing domain name, and as my domain name is now "locked" to my eShop I will have to choose another name to host the ESWP or Live Chat services.

Would have been useful to know this before setting the eShop domain name, as I could have taken, for example, "mydomain-shop" for the eShop and used my primary domain for the website.

Still, this info might help someone else later. Disappointed that eShopTeam could not provide an answer sooner, and more disappointed that I do not have £2.99 worth of web-hosting service included in my £25 eShop package, even though I did get 2 domain names when I signed up!!!!

Hi Ian,

Website Centre is the interface where you can find your manage shop link. The package you have is actually the eShop package and therefore you can only access the content and tools within eShop rather than the content and tools associated to a hosting package.

There are equivalent features with the eShop package which you will be able to access once you click on the manage shop link. Here you will find dedicated shop templates to help you build your site and a vast array of other features that are not available within website centre.

I hope this helps,

Thanks,

Lisa
