Hello

I'm not sure but there should be an option to set this yourself in your BT account. Go to https://myoffice.bt.com/ and login to the "Managed Services" section. I don't have access to mine right now so I can't guide you but there should be a section called something like Domain Management. Look to see if there is a way to change your eShop domain to www.maikins.co.uk (instead of eshop.malkins.co.uk).

You really need to sort this out. I've had a quick look at your eShop and no matter which page I click on, the URL in the web browser always shows www.maikins.co.uk. It should be different for each page. If you go to eshop.malkins.co.uk then you can see how the URL changes for each page. I doubt this inconsistency is good fom a Google or SEO perspective.

Hi I have got to grip with eshop and find it really useable, just one thing, Google lists us as eshop.malkins.co.uk and not www.malkins.co.uk any ideas on how to fix it?? I have tried several times to speak to someone at BT but they don't even seem to of heard of eshop so I gave up.

Any help would be brilliant.

Samantha

Hi,

Thank you very much I finally got hold of someone at BT who knew what an eshop was and this was the response:-

"Apologies for the difficulties you've had trying to get an answer to your query, I'll do my best to answer it now. The reason that your eShop shows as eshop.malkins.co.uk is that any eShop registered on our system is setup like this is some hosting packages have been configured so there is both a standard website and an eShop with the standard website on the 'www' DNS record(e.g. www.yourdomain.com) and the eShop on the 'eshop' DNS record (e.g. eshop.yourdomain.com).

I'm more than happy to change this so your eShop is primarily based on www.malkins.co.uk, the only issue eon of the eShop I can't set this up so that eshop.malkins.co.uk redirects to www.malkins.co.uk."

So I have had to take the plunge and get them to sort it - as you say it was indexing really badly in Google - hopefully it will be sorted tomorrow and I can start again.

Thank you for all your help

Samantha
