Newbie - Home page problems

Hi, I've been given the task of creating the layout and design of this eshop shop

My boss would like the home page to be a 'landing page' with a photo of the actual shop, and a bit of text about the history of it, and a photograph. He doesn't want any items for sale appearing on the front page. I can't seem to find a way to do this, any help would be very much appreciated.

I'm finding this software incredibly difficult, and usually use Coffee Cup Shopping Cart creator, this is vastly diffierent!

Help please?

You may need someone to do it for you. Where are a lot of developers you can find to help you with this problem, though it might cost you.
