Anybody know how often the sitemap is updated on the eshop. Reason is my sitemap says 17/01/2012 which I submitted to google but since then I have changed a few short URLs and need a new xml sitemap to resubmit to google???

When was the last time you updated? It sometimes took from a few days to a month or more. Depends how your site has been indexed.

It depends, if your website us updated frequently over a long period of time, then Google will send its spider more often and get your new pages indexed more quickly.
