Help with increasing image sizes on the product gallery

Hi All

I am building my husbands website for his art business he is setting up and I am nearly finished but struggling on one important part: the image sizes on the gallery page.

When I load them and try and untick the "resize image to 100 x100" it just picks the ticks back in and then the image is about a big as a 50p piece - this is not ideal when we are trying to sell pictures as people need to see them.

Please can you help me work out how to increase the size of the image to about 500 x 500 or so. We want to set the website live tomorrow but this is a huge stumbling block. Any help would be appreciated!!
