I am receiving no voicemail notifications after switching to BT mobile. When I contacted BT the first time they told me to use 15711 to turn on the notifications which I did, but I still did not receive any notifications. I contacted BT again and after about an hour of hanging on, are telling me to contact Samsung (I have a Galaxy S5) and suggesting that in the few days since I switched from a previous SIM contract it is now the handset settings that are the problem.

Has anyone else experiencing the same problem and have a solution? This is a fundamental service and I have already missed notifications of important messages

I have now spoken to Samsung. The problem is apparently due to the phone cache in the Galaxy S5. To get round the problem:

Reboot the phone in service mode

Shut the phone down

Hold the volume up and home button whilst powering up the phone

Using the volume button to move up and down

Move down and select clear cache settings

Once the cache has cleared move up and select restart the phone

Once the phone has restarted

Ring mobile to leave a new voicemail

You should now receive a message to say you have voicemail
