We have a block of 5 static IP addresses.

We have 1 IP address assigned to our firewall for VPN access for remote users.

However we are getting very intermittant connectivity when trying to access the VPN from external connections.

We have tested by connecting a laptop to the same network as the external interface of the firewall and assigned it another of our static IP addresses, and are able to connect to the VPN, so we believe the problem to be on the WAN side of the router, or within the router itself.

The router is a BT Business Hub 3 running firmware version 4.7.5.1.83.8.94.1.49.1.1 (Type A).
