'up to 20Mb' (connected at 21Mb!), but only 7Mb transfer rates.

Hi,

Wondering if anyone is able to help at alll. Our bt business broadband was recently upgraded to the 'up to 20Mb' one. After rebooting the router the actual connected speed according the router shows up as follows:

DownStream Connection Speed 21624 Kbps
UpStream Connection Speed 1167 Kbps

Which is great! But when we do any speed tests on various websites and various times of the day we can only seem to get a max of 7Mb down and 0.9Mb up.

So was wondering is our account limited to 7Mb?

We also have another broadband through BE and are getting 18mb transfer rates. So Im confident our location etc is not a factor. (I've also tried changing the router but same thing.)

According to BT Wholesale, ourphone line should be able to support:
8Mbps or greater ADSL connection via ADSL Max
15Mbps or greater via ADSL2+

Sorry to read about the slow speed issue you are having, I would suggest speaking with our Technical Team, they would be able to check this for you.
