topic BT Versatility - avoiding using '9' for external lines in Archive

I am looking at replacing a Lucent Argent system with a BT versatility system, and want to keep them operating as similarly as possible. Currently users on the Lucent system do not need to dial a "9" to access external lines, IE they simply dial "0800 800 154" rather than "9 0800 800 154". The system distinguishes between internal extensions and external extensions by waiting a short while and seeing if more keys are pressed.

Is it possible to do the same on a BT Versatility system, and if so how? Or would I need to re-educate everyone to dial 9?
