Rang last Thursday (supposed activationday) told its going to be another 24 hours but you would not know that, I said thank as now I do it saves me wasting a day trying to connect....

I've not received anything yet, do I get a router or anything? No, your level broadband service is basic and does not include a router. You can buy one now for 79.99 plus VAT or go get one from pc world but then you can't ring in and use bt broadband help. 2 emails received 3/3 do not mention need to get a router. One says: Please don’t buy any extra equipment or software until we’ve successfully completed the changeover to your new service. If your modem, router or hub isn’t one of ours, please click here to check that it works with BT Business Total Broadband. Or have a word with the people that made or sold it.

Find it hard to believe you think people will work out from that the need to have their own router ready in place for activation day.

Luckily I already have a bt business hub that's only been used once or twice. Wasted best part sunday trying to install CD from said hub and trying to connect my supposed activated line. What a waste of time. Of course it helps no end if you can read help pages online whilst trying to do all this but of course you can't as you're not online are you.

Ok start afresh Monday morning on home pc, go through the emails and read bt online help, again. It seems I need a Welcome Pack, but wait a minute, I don't get one as my tariff is too basic to get a router included? One of my emails says 'If you're on Vista, your BT BTB installation CD won't run automatically' - clues are great aren't they, so I should have been sent an installation CD, in a Welcome Pack probably.... No matter, will just try to piece it all together as usual, install the out of date cd with my old bt router, who knows it may work.

You could have told me these basics at the beginning when I ordered it.
