We have a BT2700HGV in bridge mode

However, we can still manage it by plugging directly into the built-in switch and pointing a browser at 192.168.1.254

Unfortunately this is not on the subnet we use for the rest of our network, All my attempts to change the management IP of the modem have failed - there is no error, the IP just remains unchanged.

Any ideas?

Ben

Hi Ben,

I am sorry to say that once the router is in bridge mode the IP to access the router cannot be changed. If you are wanting the IP of the router to be on the same subnet as that of the rest of your network, you would need to leave the router in standard mode and change the IP range /subnet in the LAN settings of the router to get it on the same subnet. If you have a look at this document it will explain how to manage and setup the BT business hub.

Mark P
